All psychological services are offered by a registered member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).
Natalie Bisson, M.Ed. C. Psych. Assoc. leads the children's mental health services and Sophie Richard, D.Psy.,C.Psych. leads the adult mental health services.
Our team consists of clinicians trained to offer a range of psychological and psychotherapeutic services to children, youth, and adults. Services are delivered in a team approach and are always supervised by a registered member of the CPO. The team approach is unique in our area and ensures the highest quality of services. It also allows clients to move seamlessly between therapy and assessment services as needed.

Clinical Psychological Associate
Owner of Bisson Psychological Services
Natalie Bisson is a registered member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She is registered to work with children and adolescents. She earned her Master's of Education degree in Child and Applied School Psychology from the University of Calgary in 2014. She has worked in the field of psychology since 2005.
Natalie has worked hard at helping families in North Eastern Ontario access psychological services. She has established a private practice to further increase the accessibility of such services. Natalie is fluently bilingual (French and English) and offers fully comprehensive and individualized psychological assessments and intervention to children and youth in Timmins and surrounding communities.
Natalie offers psychological assessments to diagnose specific learning disabilities, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorders (ADHD), autism spectrum disorders (ASD), intellectual disabilities, anxiety and mood disorders, and other mental health disorders such as post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), adjustment disorders, and behavioural/impulse-control disorders.
She also offers psychological interventions to address the issues listed above as well as other social, emotional, and behavioural issues. Natalie is trained to offer various modes of therapy including, but not limited to, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), brief and solution-focused therapies, emotional focused therapy, trauma informed therapies. All psychological interventions are highly individualized and based on a strength-based model.
Natalie also supervises the delivery of psychological and psychotherapeutic services by other clinical staff within our community. She enjoys collaborating with community service agencies and school teams and to help families advocate for their children.

Sophie Richard, D. Psy. C. Psych.
Clinical Psychologist
Sophie Richard is a registered member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She is registered to work with adolescents and adults. She completed her professional doctorate in psychology (Psy. D.) at Université de Moncton. Sophie has worked in the field of mental health for over a decade, providing bilingual services to adults and adolescents in various settings.
Sophie has experience providing support with a broad range of issues, including anxiety, traumatic stress, excessive worry and fears, workplace issues and stress, relationship difficulties, adjusting to life transitions, depression, loss and bereavement, chronic pain, as well as self-esteem and assertiveness.
Sophie is committed to increasing access to evidence-based psychological interventions. She is dedicated to the emotional well-being of adults and adolescents and aims at empowering her clients by helping them identify their strengths and resources and develop healthier coping strategies. Her purpose is to empower her clients to overcome life’s challenges by helping develop new skills and techniques to add to their toolboxes so that they can lead engaged and fulfilling lives.
By drawing on a number of therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Sophie personalizes her approach, guided by best evidence, tailored to the needs of each client. Operating through a compassionate curiosity, Sophie strives to provide a space of empathy and non-judgment in which her clients feel comfortable sharing their emotions.

Caroline Coderre, B.A. Honours
Psychometrist
Caroline has been working in the field of psychometry since 2018. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology at Université de Hearst in Timmins, ON. Her undergraduate training included course work and co-op clinical experience in psychometry. She completed a one-year intensive internship before formally beginning her career. Caroline has experience working with children and youth in the school and community setting. Under the supervision of a registered member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, she can administer and score a wide range of psychological assessment measures and collaborate on report writing. She earned her Master’s of Education degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of New Brunswick in 2006. She has been working in the field of mental health in North Eastern Ontario since graduating from her master’s degree. Monique is fully bilingual in French and English.
Monique is trained to offer various modes of therapy including, but not limited to, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), trauma focused cognitive behavioural therapy (TF-CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), brief and solution focused therapies, and emotion focused therapy (EFT). Vanessa is a registered member of the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree with a Specialization in Psychology through Laurentian University.
Vanessa first started in the field in 2002 as a residential counsellor in a treatment home for children with developmental disabilities. In 2007, she shifted her focus to community services that focused on autism spectrum disorders. For nearly a decade she provided intensive supports to children and their families who struggled with social, emotional and behavioural challenges. Currently, she is a full time behaviour and autism consultant at District School Board Ontario North East. She joins our team on a part-time basis. Under the supervision of a registered member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, she can administer and score a wide range of psychological assessment measures and collaborate on report writing. Vanessa offers services in English.

Office Administrator
Jaswinder completed the office administration (general and executive) program at Northern College in 2021. She is trilingual (English, Punjabi, and Hindi). Jaswinder is responsible for coordinating our team calendar, accepting new referrals, maintaining client files, and managing many more administrative tasks for our team.
