Our hourly rate is set below the rate recommended by the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA). The OPA recommends an hourly rate of 225$. We offer a lower rate to make psychological services more accessible to families. We also ensure to connect families with funding sources when applicable (see below). We value the importance of our services and aim to decrease financial barriers.
Our hourly rate varies based on the nature and depth of the service offered. As such, our hourly rate for a psychological assessment/consultation is set at 200$ and our hourly rate for psychological intervention is set at 170$.
The hourly rate for psychological intervention includes a full session, clinical preparation time, and take-home activities.
Psychological assessments are highly individualized, so the total cost depends on the nature of the assessment. Most comprehensive
assessments cost between 2400$ and 3000$. The cost of a full comprehensive assessment is capped at 3000$. All assessments include a detailed report that can be shared with other service providers to coordinate services.
Funding
Payments are due after each session. Sessions can be scheduled in a way to create a feasible payment plan. Payments can be made online, via e-transfer, or in person by credit card. An official receipt is provided after each payment.

Funding
- Most workplace extended health benefits provide financial assistance to help cover the cost of psychological services. Coverage can range from 300$ a year to over 2000$ a year. Should each parent have access to extended health benefits, both plans could be combined to help pay for the services. A few insurance companies require a physician's referral to obtain coverage. Please verify with your insurance carrier for more information. We could provide a formal quote for your insurance provider if needed.
- Jordan's Principal provides funding to First Nations children to help access health care services such as psychological services. If eligible, the cost of the assessment could be fully covered.
- There are occasionally other sources of funding (e.g., government funding, assessments offered by publicly funded organizations). Our team will do their best to link each family with available funding even if that means referring to another service.
- The cost of psychological services could sometimes (usually if there is a diagnosis) be claimed as a medical expense on personal income tax.
